NBN’S TOP PICKS

Here are the games we’re most excited for this week:

NBA – Playoffs begin (Saturday)

The NBA undergoes quite the transformation when the regular season closes and the postseason begins. Every game matters now, and all teams and players know it. This appears to be one of the more open playoff races in recent memory, and after a year of waiting for the more intense professional basketball there is, it’s finally back.

MCBB – National Championship Game, 3 Texas Tech vs 1 Virginia (Monday at 9 p.m. on CBS)

March Madness always ends in the blink of an eye, but don’t let it go without seeing it out. The conclusion of what has been another incredible men’s college basketball season will close Monday, and this one should be a doozy. This was one of the most wide-open Final Fours of the last several years, and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see either of these teams celebrate under the confetti at this point. The stage feels set for another classic. I wouldn’t miss it.

WNBA – WNBA Draft 2019 (Wednesday at 7 p.m. on ESPN2, 8 p.m. on ESPNU)

One of the most fun things about the women’s season is women’s college basketball bleeding right into the WNBA. That means the draft occurs in that short window between the two, and there’s barely any time off to watch some of the best of the best in the game show their stuff on the court. Find out where the biggest names in women’s college basketball this season will play this summer and beyond when the WNBA welcomes its latest rookie class into the league.
