2015-16 College Basketball Season Quiz

Do you know college hoops well enough to get a 100 percent on this 2015-16 college basketball season quiz?

The 2015-16 college basketball campaign was five seasons ago already. A whole half decade. Five years is a long time. A very long time. So long, that you might not remember what it was like all the way back then.

But, maybe your hoops memory is good.

Back in 2016, that year’s presidential election was at the forefront of every conversation, Kobe Bryant and Peyton Manning retired and Harambe died. It was also perhaps one of the best sporting years in modern history.

LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers came back from a 3-1 series deficit to defeat the Golden State Warriors in seven games, with Game 7 being one of the best basketball games ever played. The Los Angeles Sparks defeated the Minnesota Lynx in the WNBA Finals, with an unbelievable finish in the decisive Game 5 also putting that game in the running for best games ever played. The USA men and women won gold at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janiero. The Chicago Cubs ended the longest championship drought in North American sports in an unreal Game 7 win over the Cleveland Indians. Alabama and Clemson played in a classic in the College Football Playoff National Championship, with the Crimson Tide winning, 45-40. Manning had his send off with a victory in the Super Bowl with the Denver Broncos, 24-10, over the Carolina Panthers, and the Pittsburgh Penguins outlasted the San Jose Sharks, 4-2, to clinch the Stanley Cup. And maybe the most unbelievable of all: Leicester City finished atop the English Premier League after entering the 2015-16 season with 5,000-to-1 odds to win it.

Somewhere in there were men’s and women’s NCAA Tournaments, too.

Some of the names that were near the top of the 2015-16 college basketball season are the same as now. Some of them are not. With this 2015-16 college basketball season quiz, you can test your knowledge of college hoops history and determine once and for all whether or not you’re the college basketball expert you claim to be.
