On Jan. 11, Baylor vs Kansas was at the forefront of the college basketball national landscape. Way back in the before times when basketball was still legal a few months ago, the Bears and Jayhawks had their first meeting of the season, and Baylor put on one of the best defensive performances of the year.
More than anything else from this past campaign, this game really launched Baylor into the legitimate title contender discussion. And because we will never have an answer to that discussion, Bears fans can always claim that 2020 would have been “their year” if not for the coronavirus, just like several of the other 2020 juggernauts.
