The Ivy League became the first Division I conference to cancel its men’s and women’s basketball seasons Thursday, along with all winter sports.

Kentucky women’s basketball head coach Matthew Mitchell retired from coaching Thursday, resigning from the Wildcats as the program’s winningest coach with 333 victories since taking the job in 2007. He leaves the sideline at just age 49, and associate head coach Kyra Elzy has been named as interim.

An imminent divorce between Wichita State and Gregg Marshall was reported this week. It would mean the end to the program’s most successful coach after accusations of physical and verbal abuse from former players levied against Marshall.

The 2020 NBA Draft is coming up, the Minnesota Timberwolves are feeling opportunity and pressure with the No. 1 pick.
